New puppy and first winter snow

Ok so it started snowing at 8pm. The kids were already in their pjs and decided to go out and play in the fresh snow. Ahhh who would have thought I would let them out not properly dressed. :)

Maya our pound puppy. They say she is lab and who knows what else. She is about 10 months old. Such a sweet girl with pretty good manners. She puts up with a lot from C.

While I vacuumed the kids piled up the 3 dog beds in the hall way. Maya jumped right on top and the kids followed.

C. passed out.

Maya's first night with us.

Trick or Treat

Saturday, October 18, 2008

Some scenic shots by Rob; Tanya does not think they are blog-worthy for some insane reason. If any of you agree with her then you all are insane too.

One cool waterfall! Location: Mt. Ranier N.P.
Another cool waterfall! Location: Paridise, Mt. Ranier N.P.
Young buck spotted.
Young bucks practicing during rutt season, potential future mate watches.
Incredible waterfall cascades 75 feet, then again over a 200-250 foot drop. Narada Falls, Mt. Ranier N.P.

Day trip to Mt. Rainier National Park

We took a day trip drive to Mt. Rainier National Park on Oct 8th. I have forgotten how beautiful it is up there. We ended up at Paradise. It was so cold. The hot chocolate really hit the spot.

The building behind C and H is a historic inn that you can stay in. They just remodeled it a couple of years ago.

Playing at the pumpkin patch on Oct 5th... C is not to sure about walking in the field.

Going back home...

We took a detour in Idaho. We drove up through Sun Valley and the Sawtooth Mountains. Gorgeous drive, but was it worth the extra 5 hour detour?

First time of the Frontrunner.. Utah's commuter train.

Melynda, Mom, and Misky..... we were going on a round trip to Salt Lake City.
Rob and H
Me and C.... (H in the bottom).
C.... not quite sure of what to think of the train ride.

Grandma, C, and H.

Salt Lake Train Station.
On the way home. Rob is holding H's build a bear bunny (she put it in his lap while he napped). That was our main stop in Salt Lake. Grandma and Papa bought it for her birthday.
